Founder And Principal Katie Perrin
Miss Katie is very excited to open up classes with KT’s Academy in the Hertfordshire area and cant wait to meet everyone who joins the KT family.
Here’s a little bit about Katie’s experience in the industry before beginning her adventure with KT’s Academy.
Katie started dancing at an early age, attending various performing art schools over the years where she began her training in Tap, ballet, jazz, street, drama and singing. At the age of 10 Katie moved down to Cornwall where she continued her studies in musical theatre completing a BTEC national diploma at St Austell college gaining a triple distinction grade. She then moved back to London to train at the London college of music in Ealing Broadway and received her BA HONs degree in Musical theatre. Graduating with an agent, Katie landed her first role in the musical “hamlet “and went on tour around Italy on a ten month contract. Some of her other credits include “Grease” playing the role of Rizzo out in Cyprus, landing a place out in Hollywood for the Hollywood immersive programme at the Beverly Hills playhouse studios where she went on to train along side Gary Grossman and Michael petted. She also landed the role of princess Fiona in the musical “Shrek” (2016) touring the whole of Italy. Katie has a passion for the performing arts industry And enjoys teaching and giving knowledge and confidence to young Children. katie has experience in teaching at many different performing art and dance schools such as MV dance, Five-star dance academy and is now excited to start the team at KT’s Academy Of Performing Arts. Qualifications :BTEC National Diploma in musical theatre ,BA Hon’s degree in Musical Theatre, DBS checked, First aid certificate. Lamda private teacher.
Miss Nicola- Dance Teacher
Nicola Is very excited to be able to support the opening of KT’s Dance Academy.Nicola Started dancing from a young age and attended tap, jazz, street dance and gymnastics classes every week. Knowing from a young age that the dance industry was were Nicola wanted to be she continued her studies in performing arts through to college and has a BTEC National Diploma in performing arts.Nicola has been in different dance performances from a young age and has worked as a entertainer in America and Kos.Nicola now currently teaches different dance and fitness classes and enjoys helping children and adults enjoy dance.
Qualifications – BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, BTEC National Diploma in Sport , Zumba Fitness,Yoga Teacher, DBS checked and First aid trained.
Miss Charlotte- Dance Teacher
Charlotte is a 23 year old recent graduate from Urdang Academy. She specialises In all theee disciplines with a large experience in Musical theatre. She has also attended Emil Dale and Mountview where she appeared
In principle roles in musicals such as Legally blonde, Hairspray, Urinetown and many more! She is passionate about teaching young adults and creating a safe space for others to be creative and expressive. Charlotte is looking forward to joining the KTs academy team.
